ABOUT US

Sheltered Music is a recently established music publishing company launched in early 2020 as the Nashville division to All Clear Music, LLC.  It is dedicated to establishing a significant presence in country music and includes songs that embrace both Pop and R&B.  As a multifaceted company, Sheltered Music’s roster includes a number of writers who have segued into other genres as well. Traditional country music continues to expand and evolve without sacrificing the integrity of one of the most traditional and popular forms of American music.  As an alternative to the large music publishers, we offer international exposure coupled with a safe, warm creative environment for our songwriters, facilitating their careers by providing unprecedented support for their music.

Lance Freed, President

Venice Beach

Lance Freed always credits his success as a music publisher to the songwriters.  “There would be no songs, no radio, no record and publishing business and no delivery systems without the songwriter.   There would be only silence."

For decades of success, Lance led Rondor Music International. With an unparalleled catalogue of over 80,000 songs, Rondor published the works of Brian Wilson, Al Green, Tom Petty, Leon Russell, Paul Williams, Otis Redding, Will Jennings, Peter Frampton, David Porter, Bruce Springsteen, Isaac Hayes, Dire Straits, Emmylou Harris, Waylon Jennings, the Carpenters, and many more. Additionally, Freed established successful offices in Nashville, London, Hamburg, Sydney, Paris, and Milan.  Under his leadership Rondor received numerous awards and achievements including four Grammy Awards for Song of the Year:  “From A Distance”, “What’s Love Got To Do With It”, “Tears in Heaven” and “My Heart Will Go On.”; three Academy Awards have also been received.  The music industry is nothing new for Lance Freed. He grew up with the late, famed, disc-jockey Alan Freed, as his father. Alan is credited with coining the phrase, Rock n’ Roll.
